Launching applications from the home screen

>> 3-1

Launch application from within the MTG

>> 3-2へ

3-1. Connect to Telepresence Room (when launched from the home)

After startup, you will be prompted to enter your ROOM number and ROOM password.

Please input the number and password that you have been notified by the MTG organizer.

After entering various items, click the "Enter ROOM" button.

After the ROOM information verification is completed, a pop-up window will appear to access MTG stored in the telepresence room, click "Allow".

If the MTG password is requested, you can proceed to the next screen by entering the password displayed on the application screen.

The above operation allows you to join an MTG set up in a telepresence room and use the application connected to the telepresence room.

3-2. Connect to Telepresence room (when launched in MTG)

After startup, you will be prompted to enter your ROOM number and ROOM password.

Please input the number and password that you have been notified by the MTG organizer.

If you connect to a telepresence room in MTG, the MTG you are currently participating in will be maintained.

If the MTG is different from the MTG set in the telepresence room, communication with the telepresence device described below may not work.

When using this application within the MTG window, please contact the MTG organizer separately to confirm whether the MTG is the one set up in the telepresence room.

4. Connect to telepresence devices

If a telepresence device is present in the telepresence room, it will be possible to connect to and operate the corresponding device via the application. At this time (2023/02/22), [temi/kubi/telepii] is available as a telepresence device.

In order to allow a telepresence device to participate in MTG, it is necessary to install the iPresence application separately and enter the telepresence room as well as this application.

Pressing the "Select" button of the telepresence device you wish to operate from the list will display the operating screen corresponding to each device. By pinning the Zoom participant whose name matches the name of the operating device, you can see exactly how the device behaves during the operation. The operating telepresence device will display its own shared video, so by turning on the video display, you can also communicate with MTG participants in the field via the device. (It is still possible to operate the device with the video turned off.)

About telepresence devices already connected to other users

If a telepresence device is connected to another user, the corresponding device is marked "in use" and cannot be selected.

When a host/coHost enters a telepresence room with the application, it is possible to "force disconnection" of the telepresence device in use.

After a user has connected to a device, the device is forcibly disconnected after a certain period of inactivity. If you wish to stop the use of the device by users other than the connected user for unavoidable reasons, please check with the MTG organizer.

5. Breakout room support [for host/coHost participation only]

When a host/coHost is connected to a telepresence room with the application, the system will change to display only the user/telepresence devices sorted by breakout room if they exist in the same breakout room.

Example 1: Breakout room is not set

Since all devices are joined in the main session, all devices can be seen on User A's application.

Example 2: Setting a breakout room

With the following breakout room settings, only "telepii" will appear in the list on user A's app, because only "telepii" exists in the same breakout room.

The sorting function may not function properly if there are breakout rooms with the same breakout room name. When using the sorting function, please ensure that breakout room names are not the same.
